Private Lessons
I am an experienced private teacher of many decades, and I have taught beginners as young as age four and adults as old as eighty. My extensive background in pedagogy includes apprenticing with and serving as teaching assistant for several artist teachers, and working with violin, viola, clarinet, saxophone, and chamber music students of all ages and ability levels. I have empowered generations of musicians to successfully pursue careers in symphony orchestras, Broadway musicals, the recording industry, and ensemble music education.
Owing to my extensive teaching and conducting engagements during the regular school year, I offer private instruction in the short term (three months or less) for K-12 students during the summer only.
I do offer coaching year-round for college and older musicians who are pursuing auditions as well as setup consultations and problem-solving for those experiencing pain, fatigue, or working through injuries on a session-by-session basis.
